Care & Comfort In Home Healthcare is a British Columbia local provider of non medical in home care services to seniors and others who may need it serving the lower mainland.

Giving up one’s independence to rely on the help of others can be a frustrating one but what is even more frustrating is having to give up living in the familiar walls of one’s home to live in an assisted living facility because one’s level of care needed is beyond what loving family members can provide.

My name is Hamdia. I am a dentist trained in Brazil with a background in Epidemiology and Infection Prevention and Control, health care always been my passion and have worked in the healthcare field for  years.

I started this company after going through multiple surgeries in a span of one year and needed so much care at home. I know how vulnerable one feels when in a helpless situation having to depend on others for everything. I understand the frustration because I have been there.

My mom moved in to help take care of me as my care giver. I was completely dependent for a majority of the time. I saw her struggle and burn out which comes with taking care of a loved one who is completely dependent.  Relationships can be strained because of this. I know because I have been there.

We had care givers and nurses come to help with various needs. I understand how the level and kind of care provided by care givers can make an impact on one’s health and general wellbeing. Some services provided were good and others left much to be desired. I know because I have been there.
